are ALL 2 year olds this funny??
Today, Mallory asked for some apple juice. I told her she couldn't have any because her stomach was upset. Her response: "I better take a drink before my belly gets grumpy!" ha! I love it!

First day at "School"
Mallory started her first day of "school" today. She's going to Mother's Day Out at First Presbyterian Church one day a week. Things went MUCH better than I could have ever expected. She didn't even cry once all day! I'm so proud of her.
When Andy and I walked Mallory into the school, she yelled, "Where are the kids?" She waved good-bye to us as she walked the stroller around the room. When my mom picked her up from school, she said "I had fun. I go back tomorrow."
Good job Mallory, I'm so proud of you!

She says the cutest things...
Mallory said to me: "I'm growing big, like a flower!" I mean, how sweet is that?
She really IS the best!

spring
our little helper
We've been doing a lot of landscaping work in the back yard. Mallory loves to be our little helper. She loves to be outside. Literally, the first thing that comes out of her mouth when she wakes up is, "I want to go outside."
And then when we're outside, she says, "I help." She loves to water the flowers, dig in the flower bed, catch butterflies (and rocks) in her net, and play on her slide. I already love spring/summer! She likes to push her stroller down the sidewalk and then she'll stop and have a picnic with her babies.
This summer is going to be so fun!

Safari Adventure with Nana & Poppa
Nana & Poppa planned a fun "Safari Adventure" for Mallory today. They glued 2 toilet paper rolls together to make binoculars. (Mallory couldn't quite figure out how to use the binoculars. She kept putting them on her forehead and looking out from below them!) They had 17 pictures of different animals, which they hid through out the house. Mallory found all 17 animals each of the 3 times they hid them. Then, for the big challenge, they used a flashlight and played in the dark. Mallory found 15 of the 17 in the dark! Way to go my little 22 month old!

Play Date
We spend a lot of weekends with our friends Jason & Susan, and their boys (Jacob & Sam). We love watching the kids interact and unwinding together.
Jacob & Mallory are sharing a seat at the table while Jacob uses a hair dryer on Mal's hair. They also took a bath together. Mallory's first bath with a friend!

Count to TEN!
I was absolutely shocked to hear it, but Mallory can count to TEN! She's 20 months old and can count to ten in BOTH English AND Spanish!
Last week, she started counting...and kept going! She also counted to 7 in Spanish. She can count up to 10 in Spanish now too.
She is a genius!
